05/12/2012

From the remotest antiquity until well into the nineteenth century the sailing ship has been the king of the seas.

In the course of the history of the world, sailboats have performed great feats, such as the largest transatlantic ships will never be able to carry out with their modern machines.

In fact, from the ancient Phoenician and Norman navigators, in all the great coastal explorations and geographical discoveries in Africa, Asia and America, from Cristobal Colón, through the return to the world of Magallanes finished by Juan Sebastián Elcano to the expeditions Portuguese to the seas of China and in all the epics that for hundreds of years made the intrepid navigators of the world, always, always, have been present the knots reinforcing the old rigging and rigging.
