The Tizona or Tizón is one of the swords (next to the Colada) that tradition or literature attributes to the Cid Campeador. According to the Cantar de mio Cid, the Tizón (its name until the fourteenth century) belonged to King Búcar of Morocco and Cid won it in Valencia.
